Three Little Huts, accommodation near GG’s Yard wedding venue, Dumfries and Galloway.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Three Little Huts, just over a mile from the popular wedding venue GG’s Yard and five miles from Gatehouse of Fleet in Dumfries and Galloway. We enjoyed our stay so much I thought it worthy of writing a wee review and sharing some photos.

The Three Little Huts are situated up a single track road amongst lush green farmland, where your closest neighbours are the local cows, hares, ponies and donkeys.

Staying in Cedar View (strictly not one of the Three Little Huts but a larger accommodation choice on the site) this unique accommodation offers spacious rooms, an outdoor bath, and breath-taking views of Wigtown Bay and across the Irish Sea from the outdoor terrace.

The huts themselves are a blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. The rooms are surprisingly spacious, designed to maximise both functionality and cosiness. The interiors are tastefully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The attention to detail is evident, with thoughtful personal touches throughout including little tubs of locally made Chocolate ice cream waiting for you in the freezer! The kitchen is well equipped providing all the essentials and more so cooking an evening meal the night before the wedding was really easy.

One of the highlights of the visit was the outdoor bath to the rear of the property. Complimentary bubble bath included! This feature at Cedar View offered a great way to relax but could be improved if the surroundings were a bit more private (the bath was visible from the other huts on site).

The proximity of the Three Little Huts to the popular wedding venue, GG’ Yard, makes it an ideal choice for those attending a wedding there and looking for accommodation nearby. When the party is over, it’s only a 20 minute stumble walk back to the accommodation along the road and with the Three Little Huts being located in the UK’s first Dark Sky Park, allow the stars in the night’s sky to guide you home safely!

Check out at the Three Little Huts is strictly 9.30am so I’d recommend heading up to Gather for a hearty breakfast to enjoy the views and recover from the night before…….
